Top FAQs
What is the Purpose Forward Foundation (PFF)?
Purpose Forward Foundation is a principle-centered philanthropic platform designed to challenge waste, improve lives, and fund efforts that actually work. We apply discipline, accountability, and common sense to giving—treating it with the same seriousness people apply to building wealth in the first place.
This is not charity for charity’s sake. It is focused, intentional action aimed at restoring dignity, reducing waste, and producing measurable outcomes.
What Does “Purpose Forward” Actually Mean?
Purpose Forward reflects a way of thinking—and a direction. It means moving away from complacency, waste, and performative solutions and moving toward thoughtful action that improves tomorrow rather than postponing responsibility.
What Do We Mean by a “once-in-a-lifetime Generational Wealth Opportunity”?
We are living in a rare moment. Never before has so much wealth been accumulated by so many people who no longer need it for themselves. For many Baby Boomers, financial independence has already been achieved.
This creates a narrow but powerful window—where assets built over decades can be intentionally deployed to reduce suffering, challenge waste, and model values for the next generation. This moment will not repeat itself in the same way.
Who is PFF Primarily Focused on?
PFF is primarily built for individuals and families who have reached financial independence and are thinking seriously about stewardship, impact, and legacy.
These are people who value accountability, dislike waste, and want their resources to matter beyond consumption or inheritance.
Why Partner With or Donate Through PFF Instead of Giving Independently?
Charitable investing is harder than it looks. Evaluating organizations, tracking effectiveness, and avoiding duplication takes time and discipline most people don’t have.
PFF concentrates effort, applies standards, and removes friction so donors can give with confidence without turning philanthropy into another full-time job.
How is PFF Different From a Traditional Charity or Foundation?
Most charities focus on inputs—how much money is raised or how Many people are served. PFF focuses on outcomes.
We think in terms of investments, not handouts. Discipline—not sentiment—drives decisions.
What Principles Guide Where Pff Directs Its Resources?
Our work is guided by human dignity, personal responsibility, integrity, stewardship, truth, and measurable impact.
If a cause does not align with these principles, it does not receive support—regardless of popularity.
What Causes Does PFF Currently Focus on—and Why Those?
Our focus areas include pathways out of homelessness, environmental and societal waste reduction, Parkinson’s research, and targeted family and child support.
These were chosen because need is real, waste is visible, and progress is achievable.
What Does PFF Mean by “measured Impact” or “human Return”?
Measured impact means observable results. Human return refers to real improvements in people’s lives that can be explained and reassessed.
If outcomes cannot be demonstrated, we question the value.
How Does PFF Help Avoid Waste and Diluted Charitable Efforts?
Giving often becomes fragmented across too many causes.
PFF limits the number of core investments, reviews them regularly, and concentrates resources where impact is possible.
Will I Receive Proper Documentation and Receipts for Tax Purposes?
Yes. Every contribution is documented. Donors receive receipts at the time of donation and year-end summaries suitable for tax filing.
No guesswork. No loose ends.
Will PFF Provide Everything My CPA or Financial Advisor Needs?
Yes. We provide clear, complete records designed to integrate smoothly with CPA, financial advisor, and estate-planning workflows.
Our role is to remove administrative friction so donors can focus on impact.
What is the Purpose Forward Foundation (PFF)?
Purpose Forward Foundation exists to make meaningful, measurable change for people and causes in genuine need. We do this by pooling disciplined capital and applying it with focus, accountability, and active stewardship.
Is Purpose Forward a registered nonprofit?
Yes. Purpose Forward Foundation operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Who Does Purpose Forward Exist to Help?
Our primary mission is outward-facing. We focus on people experiencing homelessness, families and children at risk, patients affected by serious disease, and efforts that reduce environmental and societal waste.
Why Doesn’t Purpose Forward Support More Causes?
Focus is a deliberate choice. Concentrated effort produces better outcomes than scattered generosity.
How is Purpose Forward Different From Giving on My Own?
Purpose Forward pools resources, sizes investments to matter, remains engaged after funds are deployed, and evaluates effectiveness over time.
What is Human Return on Investment (H-ROI)?
H-ROI refers to real, observable improvement in people’s lives—not dollars raised or distributed.
How does Purpose Forward choose partner organizations?
Each organization is evaluated for real need, credible leadership, accountability, alignment, and potential for measurable progress.
Why Doesn’t PFF Support Certain Large or Well-known Charities?
In many cases, large charities are simply too big for our involvement to be meaningful. We prefer situations where resources can matter and results can be directly understood.
Is PFF Selective About Its Donor Base?
Yes. Purpose Forward is intentionally selective, particularly in its early stages. Our goal is alignment, not scale.
Can I Donate Appreciated Assets Such as Stock?

Why Was the Purpose Forward Foundation Created?
Purpose Forward was created out of frustration with waste, inefficiency, and a charitable landscape that too often prioritizes survival of the organization over outcomes for the people it claims to serve. In many cases, charities function primarily as employers—where donations sustain salaries, overhead, and administrative structures rather than producing meaningful results.
Administrative costs, layered management, and perpetual fundraising can absorb enormous resources while impact remains marginal. Purpose Forward exists to counter that model by applying discipline, selectivity, and accountability—concentrating resources where they can actually improve lives and withdrawing support when they cannot.
What Does “principle-centered giving” Mean?
Principle-centered giving means decisions are guided by values rather than trends or emotions. Causes and organizations are evaluated against consistent standards, including human dignity, personal responsibility, integrity, stewardship of resources, truth, and measurable impact.
This approach creates focus, prevents drift, and ensures giving remains aligned over time.
Will I Receive a Receipt for Every Donation?
Yes. Every donation made to the Purpose Forward Foundation is acknowledged with a receipt at the time the contribution is received. Donors should never have to track down documentation or wonder whether a contribution was properly recorded.
Will I Receive an Annual Giving Summary?
Yes. Donors receive a consolidated year-end giving summary that aggregates all contributions made during the year. This summary is designed to simplify tax preparation and long-term record retention.
Does PFF Provide Documentation Suitable for CPAs and Financial Advisors?
Yes. All donation records and summaries are prepared with standard CPA, financial advisor, and estate planning workflows in mind.
How Are Donations Handled for Tax-Reporting Purposes?
Donations are recorded, tracked, and summarized in accordance with standard charitable-giving practices. Receipts and year-end summaries are provided to support proper tax reporting.
Can I Donate Appreciated Assets or Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?
Yes. Purpose Forward can accept contributions of appreciated assets and donations made through Donor-Advised Funds, subject to normal processing requirements.
Is PFF Recognized as a Qualified Charitable Organization?
Yes. Purpose Forward operates as a qualified charitable organization, allowing donations to be treated accordingly for tax purposes.
Why is PFF Especially Relevant to Baby Boomers?
Baby Boomers represent the wealthiest generation in the history of wealth. Never before has so much capital been held by so many people at a stage of life where personal needs are largely met.
Purpose Forward exists to help deploy this wealth effectively and efficiently—providing structure, discipline, and focus so resources are not scattered, diluted, or absorbed by bureaucracy.
How Should People Think About Wealth Once Their Personal Needs Are Met?
Once personal and family needs are secure, wealth becomes less about consumption and more about responsibility. The relevant question becomes not 'How much do I have?' but 'What can this do?'
How Does PFF Help Donors Think About Legacy?
Purpose Forward views legacy as action, not simply inheritance. We encourage donors to use resources during their lifetime to shape outcomes and model values.
Can PFF Be Part of Estate or Long-term Planning?
Yes. Purpose Forward can complement broader estate and legacy planning by serving as a disciplined, values-aligned philanthropic component.
How Does PFF Evaluate Organizations Before Supporting Them?
We use modern evaluation tools, referrals, direct engagement, and our own internal grading framework to assess leadership, efficiency, alignment, and measurable outcomes.
How Does PFF Decide How Many Causes to Support at One Time?
We deliberately limit the number of core focus areas and supported organizations. Concentration allows for deeper understanding, better oversight, and more meaningful impact.
Can Causes Move in or Out of Focus Areas Over Time?
Yes. Focus areas and supported organizations are reviewed periodically and may change based on performance and alignment.
Is There a Minimum Donation Amount?
There is no formal minimum, but we generally encourage a meaningful starting point—often around $5,000—to ensure contributions are intentional and impactful.
